One project I had, I told Dustin what I wanted, and he was able to draw it out, cut it out and welded it up for me. It was a perfect fit the first time. My recent project was some crash bars for a Harley Road Glide. I showed him what I wanted, he worked his magic and made it happen. His welds are a thing of beauty! I first called Dustin because of the google reviews…looking for a custom built roof rack frame to mount my newly purchased awning. The problem was I had already installed a fan on my van, so I needed someone I could trust to not only build me a stable roof rack but would not bleed me dry, while coming up with a design. Not only did Dustin quote me a fair price, he also mounted my new purchased awning. I was so happy with his work and our open dialogue regarding the design of the roof rack, I decided to ask him to do another job for me. Dustin then designed and built me a bench/ bed for my very small space. The first project was a little too tall and I was unable to sit and have a beer ( hey that’s important) so he worked & redesigned it once again and I couldn’t be happier. My former bed took up way too much room, I was unable to access my sink or pots & pans when the bed was sitting up as a chair. Now with Dustin’s perseverance, I am able to fully use my great little “RV”.
I would not recommend anyone else to do your project. He is amazing and I would drive 5 hrs to have him do a job for me with out hesitation!

This is a review for a fantastic local Edmonton custom metal works company, DLR Metalworks. I came to Dustin with an idea for a Christmas gift for my husband as he has been been wanting an indoor wood rack for our cabin. Dustin was extremely responsive with an idea and a quote and was working on the project within a day. He asked a ton of questions and was extremely knowledgeable! He worked within my budget and came up with exactly what I had envisioned for the wood rack. The product itself is perfect for what we needed in that space and my husband was very happy on Christmas morning! My son ordered a bumper kit for his Toyota 4Runner which came in more than a dozen pieces and required the entire bumper to be welded together and assembled on the vehicle. We took it out to Dustin and he had it completed for us in a couple days. The hours quoted for the job were bang on and the quality of weld and finish was amazing!! Dustin isn't your average offroad/custom fabricator. He turns sheets of steel and tubing into a functional piece of art. I approached him for my rock sliders and rear bumper for my fj cruiser and he has fabricated tbem not only to my desired spec and requirements for protection but also exceeded my expectation with additional attention to design and cohesion with the vehicles aesthetics and unique nature.

I came to Dustin for a fire pit. He had a couple designs already and showed me this collapsible option that was robust and fit for a back yard fire pit. I worked with him to ensure I was following the St. Albert fire pit guidelines and he came through no problem. The pit also came with a custom cover suitable for cooking on. This baby EMITS heat. Perfect for summer nights and even winter fires. Really happy with this simple yet effective design. Thanks Dustin!

DLR Metalworks has completed several projects for me over the past two years, and I have been completely blown away by his attention to detail and dedication to his craft. Aluminum and steel projects have both come back extremely effective, yet simple, and nothing is ever bulky or overweight. An aluminum trailer that had some cracked welds was quickly repaired to higher standards than the original work, and has been holding up strong for years of repeated abuse by me in my off-road travels.
From helping strengthen my Skidoo Skandic Frame, to building a new base for an ice fishing auger rack for the same Skidoo or my ATV and plenty of other challenges I have presented, he is prompt with his work and delivers results that are functional, durable, and attractive.
